Recently I was sitting on my computer and working, blogging and maintaining Enlyne Branding various social media pages. Suddenly, an idea came and naturally I surfed my way to Google, and when the search results came, I saw an ad on the paid ads on Google. They caught my attention and clicked to open on a separate tab to view it once I am done with what I was originally searching for. While I was looking and reading for more options, I was once again distracted by an advert of paid ads on Google for something I was looking to buy in the near future.
I was searching for an alternative email marketing tool that is more affordable and more efficient. When the results on the organic search opened up, on the paid ads, I noticed a CRM system that I have been meaning to look at and while I was reading about the email marketing tool, I noticed a small ad of a company that is offering Accounting software with training at a reasonable price. For a small business such as Enlyne Branding, we are always looking for quality products at a reasonable price. Later when I got to read and examine the softwares, I found that they are quality, actually they compete with the best in terms of performance and reliability. This made me wonder why they are so reasonably priced.
The answer came to me as clearly as it came to St. John, when he was writing his gospel. This is due to the rise of digital marketing, and Social Media Marketing. Considering in the past 5 years, digital marketing has exceeded what conventional marketing has done in the past 20 years in revenue, at 46.4% cheaper than conventional marketing. Fortunately for small businesses like Enlyne Branding the history and success of digital marketing was well recorded and the results well documented. Agencies who claimed to cut client's marketing budgets significantly, did it with either Social Media or Inbound Marketing, one or the other and sometimes both. With the rise of digital marketing, every company had a chance of getting its brand known to the public.
In the beginning, companies especially in Southern Africa were very skeptical of digital marketing as this was viewed as a teenage haven and a hackers paradise. Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google while attending University at Stanford, and later added features that would turn the marketing world to its head. When advertisers saw the type of traffic that Google was averaging on a daily basis, they had no choice but to fall on the feet of Google. At the time Google had 4 800 000 searches a day, numbers that were unheard of in marketing circles. When they later introduced gmail, their website hits increased by a further 61%, which were scary marketing stats. Advertisers started coming up with ideas to shape this new found baby by testing the waters. They found something that was worth more than gold, and the birth of Digital Marketing.
Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook in February 2004, also while in college. In short space of time there came a rise in Social Media Marketing. People and industries are now shopping socially and doing business socially, attending school socially and sharing ideas, thoughts and inventions socially. This cemented the relationship between search engines and social media, BECOMING A POWERFUL MARKETING CONGLOMERATE.
Today in the United States, 86% of consumers have said that they buy products that they are fans of through Facebook and other social media tools, 90% said that if something is suggested to them via social media, it is as good as word of mouth, and they would definately buy the product or the service. Digital Marketing has become a social norm and a business must. Google has since evolved to launch its own Social Media tool, G+ and has a bunch of other tools that are free to use such as gmail, google music, gtalk and other useful tools. In 2012, more than a Billion people are logged in to these two powerhouses at any time and day.
Digital Media has changed the way we view products, services and especially our buying behaviours. When I was busy working and maintaining my brand, other forces were working hard to distract me and lure me into buying new products that will grow my business. I finally bought all the softwares I found on the paid ads and I am a very happy customer and this is all thanks to Digital Marketing. Enlyne Branding uses digital marketing to market its services, actually it can't afford not to, as its goal is also to rise and compete in its industry.....at less than half the normal price. Enlyne Branding is looking to play in the major league and Digital Marketing is as major as it can get. The rise of Digital Marketing also graduated small businesses into the major league, OFFICIALLY BECOMING A GLOBAL DIGITAL TAKEOVER.
The best way to get your company noticed over and above all these competitors, many with similar businesses to yours, is to use the services of a Digital Marketing Agency.
