Sometimes strategies to differentiate your brand are risky and have to be withdrawn.

Nando's has done it again. Their controversial commercial "The Last Dictator Standing" featuring a character depicting Robert Mugabe has stirred up not only a political tornado, but could be damaging for the Nando's brand.
The Character is seen missing other characters depicting other dictators like Saddam, Kadafi to mention a few. Nando's has released a statement on Thursday, 1 December 2011, saying that the advert will not longer be air on your television sets.
Nando's has received political reactions emanating from Zimbabwe and have been threats against Nando's Zimbabwe's management and staff.
